She Never Looked Back
Despite the love I had for her
I never told her so
And when she left that very day
I just let her go
She walked quickly down the street
I should have begged her, “Stop.”
But being the fool I came to be
I let my gaze just drop
I raised my head to watch once more
A heart is what I lack
For still I could not find the words
And my love, she never looked back.
