Email to the RNC - February 7, 2009

===============================================
The following is the text of an email, I just sent to the Republican National Committee in response to an email that was sent concerning a speech by newly elected chairman, Michael Steele:

To Whom It May Concern,

What is the purpose of a spending bill? To stimulate the economy? I believe that the answer is self evident. The current group of politicians that call themselves republicans are an embarrassment to me as a member of the party. The same people that led the country off of an ideological and economic cliff, now purport to now what's best for the country. The lack of character and integrity displayed by this bunch daily is sickening. They stood by while Bush spent us into a ditch and now they want to oppose the policies of President Obama. What is the basis for opposition? A track record of incompetence and failure disqualifies them from playing any role in the country's future. The South lost the Civil War, but the descendants of these traitors to the United States still act as if the question is outstanding. The rest of us have compromised for too long with these narrow-minded self-serving ungrateful rabble that continue to fight ghosts from long ago. They preach patriotism and religion, yet where are their works? Most have never served their country in uniform and true Christianity is experienced through actions not words. Their days are numbered and now here comes Michael Steele. Instead of standing up to this band of miscreants, he spouts their tired rhetoric and fails to call them to task for their transgressions for which there are many. I stand for the party of Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Eisenhower, three great republicans who put their fellow citizens and the country's ideals first. It's criminal what they have done to this country, yet they remain in office. An uninformed citizenry is a danger to our survival as a nation. If Michael Steele wants to change the paradigm, then he needs to stand up as an American and right the ship of his party. Peace.
